My Graphic Communications curriculum and professional roles have provided me with UX/UI design experience in retail, leveraging market research to ensure designs are competitive within their industry.
cbdMD
cbdMD is one of the largest CBD companies on the market and the only publicly traded one on the NYSE (YCBD). Given the emerging nature of the CBD wellness market, effective positioning & branding is crucial.
I played a key role in their 2022 rebranding and website overhaul, which indluded redesigning the product line & pricing structure. The goal was to enhance UX/UI by making the complex CBD product line easy for newcomers to understand.
cbdMD Botanicals
Targeting a new skincare audience, cbdMD launched the Botanicals sub-brand. As lead designer, I streamlined the brand, emphasizing minimalism and cleanliness to align with the product's clean beauty focus.
I defined the site architecture via a sitemap and ensured brand consistency with an Adobe XD pattern library (colors, typography, buttons). This simplified responsive front-end development across all mobile and tablet platforms.
Paw CBD
Pawcbd is a major player in the rapidly growing pet wellness market and operates as a dedicated subsidiary of cbdMD. My goal was to modernize and clean up the existing website structure.
By updating graphics, making content more concise, and reducing unnecessary white space, I successfully streamlined the UX/UI to increase user engagement and potential purchases.
Coding my Portfolio
This portfolio showcases my first fully coded website, a project originating from a Clemson University UX/UI course. I designed the initial wireframes in Sketch and then executed the code. The primary challenge was ensuring full responsiveness for a seamless UX across all screen sizes.
This project provided valuable experience in coding and problem-solving, and I continue to expand my front-end web development skills through online courses.
