Branding

Targeting a new audience, cbdMD launched Botanicals, a sub-brand focused on skincare. Competitor analysis was a crucial part of the branding process. By examining the market and consumer preferences, we were able to refine our vision into a marketable and on-trend brand.

As lead designer, I streamlined the brand, emphasizing minimalism and cleanliness to align with the product line's clean beauty focus.

UX/UI Design

We began by building a sitemap and a "pattern library" in Adobe XD. The library, informed by our brand guide, included web-safe colors, styles for headings (H1, H2, H3), body copy, buttons, and their responsive versions for tablet and mobile. This ensured the site had a cohesive feel within brand guidelines.

A large part of front end development is making sure that the site will be fully responsive and look good on different platforms. This also comes into play when thinking about how complicated a design will be to code responsively. Spots like this is where basic knowledge of HTML/CSS comes in handy.
